NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 13, 2008) Last night Blake Shelton attended the Michael Bublé concert at the Sommet Center in Nashville knowing he was going to finally get to meet Bublé, who wrote and originally sang Shelton’s current single “Home.†But what he didn’t expect was Bublé inviting him to come on stage and sing. The invite was entirely unplanned and unrehearsed – making the moment even more magical. After Bublé introduced Shelton with humbling comments, they sat on stools and traded lines of the song, both belting out smooth, rich vocals. The crowd responded with a standing ovation – the first of the evening.
“I was so excited to finally get to meet Michael. He’s a great guy, really funny and easy to get to know,†says Shelton. “When he invited me to sing with him I was truly honored and a little nervous since we didn’t rehearse. But it was an awesome experience.â€
